Until recently we manufactured a range of Ex Mobile Telephones for use in Hazardous Areas. We are the only manufacturer to have ever designed and Certified an AUSEx mobile telephone handset. As most customers are aware the GSM V4 model was discontinued in April 2010 due to lack of ongoing supply of the base model. The 6120 NG V3 model is also now at the end of manufacturing for the same reasons. The newer telephone models are becoming more complex and as a result are more and more difficult to modify, certify and manufacture. We have come to the conclusion that further development of new handsets is not profitable in terms the small size of the domestic market. It has been abandoned; at least in the short term. Some customers have assisted over the past few months with our marketing research in regards the acceptability of various standards and options. NOTE: There was some confusion in regards to certificates being sent to some of the customers used in our research/review, if you are involved and consider that you may have the wrong documentation please contact this office on 0260 236588 or by email on support@dcaexpro.com. Support for the existing handsets will continue and some Next G handsets are still available from stock. Unfortunately the supply will most likely be exhausted within the next 3 months (around end August on current stock levels).
